Andrew Beck Injured In Preseason Opener
1 year agoHouston Texans fullback Andrew Beck (knee) suffered a minor knee injury in the team's preseason opener on Thursday night against the New England Patriots. Beck was seen limping after the contest, but he was able to jog on the sideline immediately after getting hurt. "Beck will be fine," head coach DeMeco Ryans said. "He banged his knee up a little bit, but we'll get further tests. As of right now, looks like he'll be fine." A league source noted that Beck may not even need to undergo an MRI exam. The 27-year-old is expected to have a versatile, hybrid role in offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik's offense this year after signing a two-year, $6.75 million contract in the offseason. Beck dropped a pass in Thursday's 20-9 win over the Patriots.
