Carolina Hurricanes forward Andrei Svechnikov registered a goal and two assists to help lead his team to a road 5-4 overtime victory over the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday. The 19-year-old skated 20:18 in the contest and also posted a plus-one rating, four penalty minutes, a shot and three hits. In addition to hitting highlight reels with lacrosse-style goals, Svechnikov continues to take a huge leap forward in just his second NHL season and is now up over a point-per-game (21 points in 19 games) to go along with a plus-seven rating, 52 shots and 35 hits. With dual wing eligibility in Yahoo! leagues, the Russian native should be considered a must-start moving forward. He'll take the ice next against the Wild on Saturday.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
