Andreas Athanasiou Notches Two Assists In Shocking Win Against Toronto
1 year agoChicago Blackhawks forward Andreas Athanasiou helped to set up two goals as the team shocked the Maple Leafs with a 4-1 road victory on Monday. Following a scoreless first period, Athanasiou helped MacKenzie Entwistle open the scoring early in the second frame and had a power-play assist on a Tyler Johnson strike later in the period. This was a very productive performance from Athanasiou, as he logged only 11:45 of ice time on the fourth line. His performance also included three shots on goal and two blocks as he finished the contest with a plus-one rating. Athanasiou has dropped down in the lineup this season, but he's still getting power-play time and has enjoyed a decent start to the campaign with three points in four outings.
