Allan Winans To Make MLB Debut Saturday

Atlanta Braves right-hander Allan Winans will make his major-league debut after six seasons in the minor leagues when he gets the start on Saturday against the Milwaukee Brewers. Winans signed for $10,000 back in 2018 out of Campbell University. The 27-year-old gets the call after going 7-3 with a 2.81 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, 25 walks and 89 strikeouts in 102 2/3 innings over 18 appearances (13 starts) for Triple-A Gwinnett in the International League this year. It's a great story for Winans, although he probably isn't going to stick around in Atlanta for long, and he might get sent back to Gwinnett right after his start on Saturday. The matchup isn't a terrible one against the first-place Brew Crew, but fantasy managers probably won't be flocking to use Winans as a streamer this weekend nevertheless.
