Alexander Mattison Looks To Move Past Week 2 Dud
3 months agoLas Vegas Raiders running back Alexander Mattison is looking to move past a near absolute dud in Week 2, where he was not targeted and logged just four carries for a measly one yard. He was lucky to get a touchdown on one of those plays, but Mattison will have to do better if he wants to keep his role in the Raiders backfield. The 26-year-old had a much better game in Week 1, mainly due to passing volume and an excellent receiving touchdown. Like fellow Raiders RB Zamir White, Mattison appears to be game-script dependent, playing more snaps when the Raiders are down due to his pass-catching ability. The Panthers are a pillow-soft defense, so it's more likely White sees more volume. Despite the favorable matchup, Mattison belongs on the bench outside of deep leagues.
