Los Angeles Dodgers starter Alex Wood finally received enough run support to garner his first win of the season on Sunday. Backed by three Dodgers' runs, Wood gave up two earned runs on four hits in six innings, struck out four and walked one. He threw 53 of his 82 pitches for strikes and now owns a 3.32 ERA to go with a 1.02 WHIP. While he's providing a steady presence in the middle of the team's rotation, he's simply not getting strikeouts at 2017's rate. In his ten starts so far this year, he's only gotten more than five strikeouts twice. He should do well, however, in his next start against the Padres at home next Sunday.--Mario Hernandez - RotoBaller
