Alex Reyes Picks Up A Win On Thursday
Alex Reyes earned a win in Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. After the Cardinals starter made it through just four innings, Reyes was called on and pitched the fifth and sixth innings. In his two innings of work, he allowed just one hit and struck out two. Of his 29 pitches, 18 were strikes. Reyes was removed from the closer's role earlier this month, but has been mostly solid in lower leverage situations since then. It's unclear if or when he will be given a chance to make his way back to the ninth inning. The win improves his record to 6-8 and lowers his ERA to an even 3.00. If he's pitching middle innings, though, he likely shouldn't be rostered on most fantasy playoff teams.
