Washington Capitals left wing Alex Ovechkin (upper body) will miss a second straight game Monday versus the Islanders. He was a game-time call last time out, so it appears as though Ovechkin's injury isn't very severe, but the Capitals have nothing left to play for and there's no point in keeping Ovechkin in the lineup even if he's only hurt a little. It's possible that Washington's captain returns for the final two games of the season. Conor Sheary has replaced Ovechkin on the Capitals top line. Further maneuvering is expected Monday, with Nic Dowd (undisclosed) also likely out.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
