Washington Capitals left wing Alex Ovechkin joined the 1,400-point club in Wednesday's 4-3 victory over Tampa Bay, becoming the 21st player in NHL history to reach the milestone. Of course, he did it with another goal and then started his path towards 1,500 points with a power-play assist. Ovechkin is now on 773 goals and 628 assists for his career. He boasts 43 goals and 81 points for the season with 68 games played and is quickly closing in on another 50-goal campaign, having lit the lamp 11 times since the start of last month. The Great Eight will face some of his favorite opponents in the next few games as there are matchups against Pittsburgh and Philadelphia coming up.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
