The Detroit Red Wings have acquired winger Alex DeBrincat from the Ottawa Senators in exchange for forward Dominik Kubalik, prospect defenseman Donovan Sebrango, a conditional first-round pick, and a 2024 fourth-round pick. The team immediately signed DeBrincat, who was a restricted free agent, to a four-year contract worth $31.5 million in total. He will carry a cap hit of $7.875 through the 2026-27 season. DeBrincat, who registered 27 goals and 66 points in 82 games last term, moves on from Canada after spending just one season with the Senators. The 25-year-old has previously posted two 40-goal campaigns with the Blackhawks, and he should be a great addition for the Red Wings, who appear to be ready to make a serious playoff push in 2023-24.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
