Alex Cobb Experiences Hip Tightness Thursday
Alex Cobb (hip) exited Thursday's meeting with the Rockies. The right-hander made it through five innings before leaving with left hip tightness, allowing eight hits and four runs while striking out seven batters. Fortunately, the injury may not be as severe as initially expected, with Cobb stating postgame he's not concerned about it moving forward. The 35-year-old has played well this season, amassing a 5-2 record with a 3.01 ERA and 71 strikeouts, so hopefully, he'll be ready to go for his next scheduled start. However, there may be an official update on his prognosis in the next day or two.
