7 months agoThe Baltimore Orioles placed starting pitcher Alex Cobb on the 10-day injured list on Sunday for the third time this year with a lower back strain. In corresponding moves, the team called up catcher Austin Wynns and pitchers Branden Kline and Luis Ortiz from Triple-A Norfolk while sending pitcher Jimmy Yacabonis to Norfolk and designating catcher Jesus Sucre for assignment. Cobb has made just three starts this year and has allowed nine home runs in his 12 1/3 innings, making him one to avoid, even in the deepest of leagues, when he returns. David Hess will take Cobb's rotation spot and go against the White Sox on Wednesday. He'll be a poor streaming option in deeper leagues. Wynns was hitting .385 with six walks and no strikeouts in the minors, but he'll have little fantasy value as the backup in Baltimore. Both Ortiz and Kline are among the team's top 25 prospects, but they both figure to pitch in relief and won't be on the fantasy radar.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
