4 years agoHouston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman (hamstring) hit on the field for the second consecutive day on Friday. Bregman has been slowed at the start of camp by a sore hamstring, and his status to play in the team's first spring training game on Sunday is up in the air. Bregman was one of a host of elite offensive weapons that struggled during the shortened 2020 season, slashing only .242/.350/.451, his lowest totals since his rookie season. When healthy, Bregman possesses top-20 fantasy talent and could be in line for a bounce-back season. Whether he makes his debut this Sunday is inconsequential toward the long-term goal of getting Bregman back to the elite offensive status that he has enjoyed the past three seasons.--Joey C - RotoBaller
