Alek Thomas' Rehab Assignment Put On Pause
6 months agoArizona Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said that the team has again put outfielder Alek Thomas' (hamstring) minor-league rehab assignment on pause. Lovullo said Thomas is dealing with "general soreness" but added that he remains "very" optimistic that Thomas will get back into rehab games by the end of this week. "Nothing that's alarming. I think there's just normal general soreness that we're trying to evaluate before we push through to the next level," Lovullo said. There's also the possibility Thomas will get more imaging on his left hamstring this week. The D-backs are likely being cautious with the 24-year-old, who has played only four games this year due to the injury. Even with the latest setback, Thomas still has a chance to return before the All-Star break. However, he's more of a glove-first outfielder and isn't very attractive in mixed fantasy leagues.
