4 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Alek Manoah struck out seven New York Yankees hitters over three hitless, shutout innings on Sunday. The top prospect's fastball was sitting between 94-96 mph and he generated strikeouts on all three offerings: heater, changeup, and slider. Of note, Manoah's other spring appearance also came against the Yankees when he pitched two shutout innings on May 3 and struck out four batters. The 11th overall pick from the 2019 amateur draft, Manoah spent time at the club's alternate training site in 2020 but has not pitched above A-ball. Nonetheless, he could possibly see time with the Blue Jays in the second half of 2021.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
