St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Adam Wainwright (elbow) will throw a bullpen session on Thursday. Assuming that goes as planned, the veteran righty could be cleared to return to the rotation against the Padres this weekend in San Diego. That being said, Wainwright commented that the team is "being real hush-hush about it." A previous report stated that the team may want Wainwright to pitch in another rehab outing before rejoining the rotation.
