Adam Thielen 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook: Aging Vet Still has Much to Contribute
Adam Thielen admitted that 2025 might be his last NFL season, which isn't all that surprising. The 34-year-old missed seven games due to a hamstring injury in 2024, his 11th season as a pro. However, Thielen is still a reliable player who fantasy managers can count on. Thielen recorded 615 yards and five touchdowns in 10 games last season, showing he was still quick and sure-handed. According to Statmuse, Thielen had a 77.4% catch percentage, which was second-best among wide receivers who played at least eight games. And he did it lining up primarily in the slot; Thielen did so on nearly 73% of his snaps in 2024. Because of his particular skill set and his connection with QB Bryce Young, Thielen will likely get plenty of snaps and production despite Carolina having other mouths to feed. First-round rookie Tetairoa McMillan and former first-rounder Xavier Legette will likely start on the outside, and Jalen Coker will also get some snaps. However, none of them have the savvy and experience that Thielen does as a weapon from the slot. If you're looking for a late-round receiver, Thielen is a good option and is currently RotoBaller's WR62 in the latest rankings.
