Adam Eaton Set To Begin Rehab Assignment Friday
7 years agoWashington Nationals outfielder Adam Eaton (ankle) has been cleared to start his minor league rehab assignment on Friday with Double-A Harrisburg. According to manager Dave Martinez, Eaton will play both left field and center field during his rehab assignment. If everything goes well during his rehab, Eaton should be ready to come off the disabled list when he is first eligible on June 8. The Nationals will have a bit of a logjam in the outfield upon Eaton's return, especially if young phenom Juan Soto continues hitting at his current pace. Look for every Nationals outfielder not named Bryce Harper to experience a small drop in playing time upon Eaton's return to the everyday lineup.
