Aaron Jones Will Work Harder With A.J. Dillon Around
4 years agoGreen Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones, who had a career year in 2019, thinks rookie running back A.J. Dillon's arrival will push him to work even harder entering the 2020 season. The Packers drafted Dillon 62nd overall in the second round back in April. Jones is also entering the last year of his deal, which means that Dillon could become a starter sooner than later if Jones goes elsewhere. But Jones, 26 this December, would love to sign a long-term deal to stay in Green Bay. Another big campaign in 2020 would help his cause. "I know it's the NFL. They're bringing in guys every day to compete so I mean it's just gonna raise my game and I'm excited to have him there and start working with him, teaching him the playbook and everything," Jones said. He is extremely efficient and the best back on the roster. Don't expect a gaudy number of touchdowns again this year, but Jones is at least a high-end RB2 for fantasy owners, even with Dillon added to the mix.
