Abner Uribe - Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Pickups, Closers and Saves

Mid-week fantasy baseball waiver wire rankings for Week 22 (2025). Free-agent hitters and pitchers to add include Nolan McLean, Jonah Tong, Abner Uribe, Carson Williams, Riley O'Brien, and Jordan Lawlar.

September officially arrives next Monday, and we have about a month left in the MLB regular season. It's go time, and let's finish the season strong. At RotoBaller HQ, we help you get ready for September with our updated top 100 hitters and pitchers list for Week 22--August 25 through August 31 to help fantasy managers stay on top of the waiver wire in leagues that allow daily moves.

There are key performances, prospect promotions, and injuries to watch for this week. New York Mets right-hander Nolan McLean continues to impress. The 24-year-old is (3-0) with a 0.89 ERA, 0.69 WHIP, and 21 strikeouts over his first three starts. The Mets also recently called up top pitching prospect Jonah Tong from Triple-A Syracuse, and he will make his debut on Friday against the Marlins. Milwaukee Brewers closer Trevor Megill was placed on the injured list with a Grade 1 flexor tendon strain.

For anyone unfamiliar, we release all sorts of fantasy baseball waiver wire articles every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. As part of that, Nick Mariano releases our waiver wire rankings list on Sundays to help you prioritize which players to target as free-agent adds off waivers. Stay on top of our weekly waiver wire rankings and turn on MLB news alerts to stay ahead of the curve. Once you're done here, check out our fantasy baseball prospects articles for the latest names to stash and pick up.

Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Pickups List

Since many fantasy baseball leagues have daily waiver-wire moves or multiple waiver-wire runs per week for adding players, this mid-week rankings list should help you keep track of players emerging in the middle of the week before we reach Sunday. This article will guide you through our weekly ranking of the relevant waiver-wire pickup options, including how to prioritize them for your league (depending on the league size).
