BALLER MOVE: Target Around ~170 Overall
CURRENT ADP: 180+ (Undrafted)
ANALYSIS: Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald will return for his 17th season in the league. The veteran was relatively productive in 2019 despite his advanced NFL age of 36, finishing the year with 75 catches (26th overall) for 804 yards and four touchdowns.
The Cardinals have added former Texans star DeAndre Hopkins after trading away David Johnson, but what makes you think Fitzgerald won't be the no. 2 WR of Arizona's offense? At his age, this could actually benefit Fitzgerald by giving him some additional breathing room to produce.
Fitzgerald has never let his QB down, and can always be a safety blanket when needed. What makes Fitzgerald so reliable is he has played all 16 games in 13 of his 16 NFL seasons. The Minnesota native finished WR35 last season in PPR leagues.
Though he may not be putting up elite numbers anymore, Fitzgerald is still a proven fantasy commodity. He may not get as many looks from quarterback Kyler Murray in 2020 with Hopkins in the picture, but he could potentially surpass his ADP (WR65) value by far, primarily in PPR formats. PFF projects Fitzgerald to 116+ fantasy points to the tune of 70 targets, 50 receptions, 500 yards, and three touchdowns. Consider Fitzgerald a very very safe late-round pick.
