Kyle Pitts is a 2024 fantasy football draft boom or bust option at tight end. Target the Atlanta Falcons tight end as a sleeper pick in fantasy drafts.
BALLER MOVE: Target Around ~61 Overall
CURRENT ADP: ~63
ANALYSIS: It's a make-or-break season for Kyle Pitts. If he disappoints again, his name will no longer be associated with proven commodities.
The highest tight end drafted in NFL history burst onto the scene in his rookie season with 1,026 yards (although the one touchdown he secured was lackluster). He's combined for fewer yards (1,023) in his second and third campaigns.
A major injury played a role. He tore his MCL in 2022 and admitted that it bothered him throughout the 2023 season. He also was trying to catch passes from inaccurate quarterbacks like Marcus Mariota, Taylor Heinicke, and Desmond Ridder. That led to a 64% catchable target rate last season (37th among qualified tight ends).
This time around, he'll play with Kirk Cousins. Atlanta will deploy a similar offense to Minnesota's (Sean McVay coaching tree). Almost 27% of Cousins' pass attempts last season went to tight ends.

If all goes well, Pitts should be the second option in the passing game behind wide receiver Drake London. He is being selected in drafts as one of the last tight ends with a high ceiling, but his floor is considerably lower than those of earlier TE picks such as Kelce, LaPorta, and McBride.
