Kendrick Bourne is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for wide receivers. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 8 of the 2021 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: While Jakobi Meyers is still the WR1 of the Patriots, and Nelson Agholor the lucky pass-catcher to find himself inside the end zone while in possession of the ball on Sunday, Kendrick Bourne was the better overall play against the Jets and it's been that way all through the season. Yet somehow Bourne's rostership isn't even at 10-percent entering the mid-point of the year next weekend.
Jakobi Meyers is just 1.9 PPR points above Bourne on the full season, while their averages sit at 12.2 FPPG for the former and 12.0 for the latter. That is with Meyers getting targeted 59 times compared to Bourne's 28 in the same amount of games. Just imagine. Bourne has been a steady producer and he's made the most of his opportunities, indeed. Since Week 3 (included), Bourne has reached 10.8+ PPR points in four of the five games he's played and he has three matches of 14.5+ PPR points in that span, including two WR1 finishes to the tune of 21.6 and 17.8 fantasy points.
Bourne just had his second-best outing of the year hitting those 17.8 PPR points against the Jets this past weekend. Sure, he benefited from a passing touchdown (...) but he also went 4-for-4 on receptions for 68 yards in which was his second-best receiving line of the year--baring scoring a TD, obviously. Bourne should retain WR2 scoring levels of play weekly ROS even though New England is not the most appealing of offenses in the NFL, and his snap share (55% on the season) should grow if the Patriots are about to play their better cards for the remainder of the year. Must-have in deeper formats with WR2/WR3 floor and upside for some spot/favorable-matchup WR1 finishes.
