BALLER MOVE: Start in 14+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: FLEX
ANALYSIS: The seemingly constant churn in the Miami Dolphins backfield continues in Week 12. After returning to the lineup last week followin an IR stint, explosive rookie De'Von Achane is not expected to suit up for Miami's Black Friday meeting with the New York Jets. 'Fins RB Salvon Ahmed will also join Achane on the sidelines after picking up a foot injury last week that's sending him to IR.
The injuries to Achane and Ahmed open up a path to playing time for Jeff Wilson Jr. in Week 12. Wilson himself has been battling injuries throughout 2023 and has touched the ball just 12 times this season. However, that could change against the Jets, as Wilson will serve as the primary back-up to starter Raheem Mostert. We can expect JWJ to spell Mostert and also mix in on pass-play situations.
Miami #Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel tells local reporters RB Jeff Wilson Jr., who was a healthy inactive in this past Sunday’s win vs. Las Vegas, is fully healthy and will play this upcoming Friday afternoon against New York (AFC).

While Gang Green is known for having a tough defensive unit, they are one of nine NFL teams that have allowed over 1,000 yards rushing to enemy backs in 2023. Wilson's lack of playing time this season does make him feel like a shaky fantasy play, but desperate managers in deeper leagues can take a shot with him as a FLEX option in this Week 12 scenario that could allow him to see meaningful volume against the Jets.
