Javonte Williams' fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 12 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Javonte Williams for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB2
ANALYSIS: Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams had high expectations entering the year. Many expected the talented running back to start the season on the Physically Unable to Perform list after suffering a severe knee injury in 2022. Instead, the third-year player started in Week 1.
Williams is the RB30 for the year, averaging 9.5 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. He has 122 rushing attempts for 473 yards and zero touchdowns. However, the talented player has had an impact in the passing game, totaling 23 receptions for 125 receiving yards and two touchdowns in 2023.
More importantly, the third-year player has played well lately. Over the past four contests, Williams has averaged 70.8 rushing yards and 13.4 fantasy points per game, scoring 11.1 or more in all but one. By comparison, he scored fewer than 7.8 fantasy points in all five of his first games this season.
Unfortunately, the talented running back has an unfriendly fantasy football matchup this weekend. Williams faces an elite Cleveland Browns run defense that has held running backs to only 16.3 fantasy points per game this year, the 10th-fewest in the NFL.
