BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team PPR Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 42% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Are we still here with Jarvis Landry? Really, in the year 2022 of our Lord? Jesus Christ. Landry, of course, is seemingly never going to be properly rated judging by that being the case for the past 10 or 15 or 20 years. Fantasy GMs out there seem incapable of catching up to this man's efforts and exploits. The good thing? You can still find him available for free on more than half of Yahoo fantasy leagues!
Landry signed with the Saints this offseason, thus finishing his second four-year stint with an NFL franchise (Miami first, Cleveland second). He has been a top-30 WR in all of his pro seasons with the exception of his rookie year and last season (though he just played 12 games). We have yet to see Landry average fewer than 11 FPPG in PPR leagues. I mean, do what you please.
Jameis Winston peppered Jarvis Landry with nine targets on Sunday of which the receiver caught seven for 114 (!) yards. The only thing missing on his stat line was a touchdown, but the time will surely come because Michael Thomas won't keep scoring two TDs every week--let alone on five receptions as he did this weekend.
Landry will have to face stiff competition for targets as he will share the field with Thomas, rookie Chris Olave, and pass-catching RB Alvin Kamara. That's cool and all, but Landry is much better than that 42% rostership would make you believe.
Landry's 114 yards on Sunday were the second-most among WR with seven-or-fewer receptions. Landry's 16.3 YPR figure was only bested by Justin Jefferson (20.4) among WR with 7+ receptions in Week 1. Jefferson scored 39.4 PPR points to Landry's 18.4. Also: Jefferson is impossible to acquire with the season already ongoing while you can still find Landry sitting on the WW in 58% of Yahoo leagues. Just saying.
