Jameson Williams fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 1 (2024). Should you start or sit Jameson Williams for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR3/Flex with upside
ANALYSIS: Former 12-overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, Jameson Williams, has had a rough start to his NFL career. He suffered a torn ACL during the final season of his college career, which limited his time as an NFL rookie, and then got hit with a six-game gambling suspension last season.
However, as the 2023 season progressed, the Alabama product was slowly eased into action and began to show flashes of upside down the stretch. From Weeks 15-17, Williams averaged 9.2 PPR points per game with a high of 69 receiving yards in the Week 17 match against the Dallas Cowboys.
During the playoffs, he made headlines by posting a 42-yard rushing score to open the scoring in the NFC Championship game.

This season, he currently sits as the No.2 wide receiver on the Lions depth chart, only behind star wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown as Josh Reynolds left for Denver during free agency.
In week one, Williams has a favorable matchup against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday night. This game carries the highest point spread of the week at 50.5 suggesting that both teams could light up the scoreboard.
While Williams has not proven that he could be a consistent fantasy contributor every week as of yet, in deeper 3 WR leagues, Williams is an excellent upside play given his elite speed and the potential to see a hefty target share in a high-scoring affair.
