Jalin Hyatt's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 14 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Jalin Hyatt for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Sit in 14+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR5
ANALYSIS: Despite the New York Giants not having a clear-cut No. 1 wide receiver entering the season, many wrote off Jalin Hyatt. The rookie wide receiver hasn’t been a fantasy superstar out of the gate like Puka Nacua or Tank Dell. He is the WR91 for the year, averaging only 3.5 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. Yet, Hyatt has never lacked confidence.
The Giants have won their past two games despite starting Tommy Devito at quarterback. They are 4-8 and out of the playoff mix, forcing the team to think about the future, leading to more snaps for Hyatt. He set a career-high in targets in the team’s last game (six).
Hyatt had five receptions for 109 receiving yards and 13.4 fantasy points in the Week 12 win over the New England Patriots. The rookie ran the second-most routes on the team (21) while finishing first in air-yards share (72.9%) in that game (per Fantasy Points Data).
Tonight, he faces a Green Bay Packers secondary that has limited opposing wide receivers this season, giving up the ninth-fewest fantasy points per game. While fantasy players shouldn’t trust Hyatt in season-long leagues with the playoffs on the line, the rookie is worth considering a DFS tournament and head-to-head type contests.
