Isaiah Likely fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 3 (2024). Should you start or sit Isaiah Likely for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in Deeper (14+ Team) Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: TE2
ANALYSIS: Baltimore Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely exploded in Week 1 for eight catches for 111 yards and a touchdown, narrowly missing catching the game-tying touchdown as regulation expired. However, like Houdini, he put on a disappearing act for fantasy managers in Week 2, scoring just 4.6 PPR Fantasy points.
Ravens starting tight end Mark Andrews out-targeted Likely in the loss to the Raiders, and it's looking like his Week 1 performance was the exception rather than the rule. Likely must compete with WR Zay Flowers and Andrews for targets in the Ravens' low passing volume offense, and Week 2 suggested he's the 3rd priority.

Pumping the brakes on the Likely hype train is probably a good idea. There wasn't much to suggest he was an elite tight end anyway, and he's likely sinking back into what his role was originally planned to be in this offense. While better days are likely ahead, Andrews should still be the TE1.
He's worth a start in deeper leagues, but there are plenty of tight ends that offer higher upside and a more prominent role in their offenses. Leave Likely on the bench in leagues with 12 or fewer teams.
