Is Deebo Samuel Hurt Or Healthy?
San Francisco wide receiver Deebo Samuel has battled injuries throughout the latter portion of 2022. Samuel was forced to miss Weeks 15-17 of the regular season with knee and ankle injuries.
The dynamic 27-year-old receiver was able to return to the Niners' lineup for the team's regular-season closer against the Arizona Cardinals. Samuel has also been active in both of San Fran's playoff victories. He popped up on the Niners' injury report this week and was officially listed as a limited participant for Wednesday's practice session.
Fantasy Football Outlook For Deebo Samuel This Week
While Samuel's limited participation in Wednesday's practice isn't what Niners' fans want to see, there's little cause for legitimate concern, as the organization is likely just playing it safe with their star receiver.
The South Carolina alum takes a lot of punishment in his dual-threat role in this 49ers' offense and it has taken a toll in 2022 which has prompted San Francisco to go easy on him in multiple practices.
Samuel's availability for Sunday's NFC Conference Championship game against the Philadelphia Eagles doesn't appear to be in question. However, the explosive receiver draws a brutal matchup against a star-studded Philly secondary that features a pair of shutdown corners in Darius Slay and James Bradberry. The Eagles finished the regular season ranked first in the NFL in Pass Defense DVOA.
