Gus Edwards's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 15 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Gus Edwards for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Sit in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB4
ANALYSIS: Baltimore Ravens running back Gus Edwards has been a pleasant surprise this season. The veteran is the RB22 for the year, averaging 10.8 half-point PPR fantasy points per game.
Edwards has been a touchdown machine. He has 10 rushing touchdowns, the fourth-most in the NFL. While the veteran remains a significant part of Baltimore’s rushing attack, he has lost touches lately to the rookie Keaton Mitchell.
Over the past two contests, Edwards has had fewer than nine rushing attempts in both. He has averaged only 3.4 yards per rushing attempt over the past four games, scoring fewer than 9.4 fantasy points in all but one.
Tomorrow night, the veteran faces a Jacksonville Jaguars defense that has held running backs to 18 fantasy points per game, slightly below the league average. Over the past two weeks, running backs have had their way with Jacksonville’s defense. They have given up three rushing touchdowns and 53 fantasy points to running backs.
While the RotoBaller rankings feel Edwards shouldn’t be in fantasy lineups this week, I believe the veteran running back is a solid flex option in non-PPR leagues. The Jaguars have struggled to keep running backs out of the end zone lately, and Edwards is one of the best at scoring touchdowns.
