Fantasy Football Injury Reports For NFL WRs: Week 10 Updates for Deebo Samuel, Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, Ja'Marr Chase, Treylon Burks

Deebo Samuel - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Fantasy football WR injury updates and injury reports for wide receivers for Week 10 (2022) as of 11/09 including Deebo Samuel, Keenan Allen, Mike Williams and Treylon Burks.

Fantasy managers will be without Michael Thomas and Rashod Bateman for the rest of the season, which is a tough blow. However, looking at the injury report for the receiver position in Week 10, the list is much shorter than in recent weeks. Some of the bigger names on the list have received positive news, which is always a great thing.

The big receiver currently on IR, Marquise Brown, is eligible to play in Week 11, although it is unknown if he will be ready yet. As he gets closer to a return, so do Keenan Allen and Ja'Marr Chase, further strengthening the receiver position as a whole.

Let's look at some of the bigger receiver names and the injuries we should be tracking moving into Week 10.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Deebo Samuel, San Francisco 49ers

Deebo Samuel played 86% of the snaps in the team's Week 7 contest, which was in line with his playing time throughout the season, but he ended up suffering a hamstring injury. With the team's bye week in Week 9, the 49ers smartly decided to give Samuel an extra week off and held him out of their Week 8 game. By sitting out, Samuel will have had two weeks to rest and rehab his hamstring injury, which was reported to be minor.

Fantasy managers should cautiously expect Samuel to return to the lineup this week, but as fantasy managers have seen with Jahan Dotson and Keenan Allen, hamstring injuries can be tricky for receivers. Be sure to track his practice participation throughout the week to get a better read on his availability.

Mike Williams, Los Angeles Chargers

Mike Williams injured his ankle late in the team's Week 7 loss against the Seattle Seahawks. Reports indicated it was a fairly significant high ankle sprain that could cost him 4–6 weeks. The Chargers were on bye in Week 8, but he missed their first game after the break. The bye week will save Williams a week, but there's no reason for fantasy managers to expect Williams back in action for at least another 2–3 weeks.

Keenan Allen, Los Angeles Chargers

Keenan Allen suffered a hamstring injury in Week 1. He attempted to return to practice after a few weeks and suffered a setback, which ended up delaying his return. He finally returned to the field in Week 7 but was on a significant snap count. He played just 32% of the snaps. The Chargers had their bye week in Week 8, but following the bye week, fantasy managers were forced to be without Allen for the sixth time this season.

It appears that Allen is close to returning, but at this point, fantasy managers cannot take anything for granted. Fantasy managers should expect Allen to sit out of practice early. Hopefully, he'll be able to return to practice week, giving him a chance to finally return to full form in Week 10, but his practice status will give fantasy managers a good idea of what to expect this upcoming weekend.

Ja'Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals

Following Ja'Marr Chase's monstrous Week 7 eruption where he finished with eight receptions, 130 yards, and two touchdowns, fantasy managers were blindsided with the news that Chase had a significant hip injury that might require him to go onto IR. Initial reports indicated he might be out for 4–6 weeks, however, the team indicated they were not going to be putting him on IR to keep open the possibility of him returning earlier than expected.

Chase missed the games in Weeks 8 and 9. The Bengals will have their bye week this upcoming weekend. Week 11 will be his fourth week, so there's a chance the superstar receiver could return for Week 11. Once the Bengals return next week, fantasy managers will have a better idea of what to expect from Chase in Week 11.

Treylon Burks, Tennessee Titans

Treylon Burks is eligible to come off IR and play in Week 11. However, head coach Mike Vrabel stated, "We'll see how he is feeling." As of right now, Burks' availability seems somewhat up in the air. Fantasy managers will need to track Burks' practice status throughout the week to see if he will be activated.

Michael Thomas, New Orleans Saints

Michael Thomas was placed on IR and will undergo season-ending toe surgery.

Rashod Bateman, Baltimore Ravens

Rashod Bateman was also placed on IR and will undergo season-ending foot surgery.
