FanDuel DFS Pitchers

James Paxton: NYY vs TAM ($9,000)

Paxton dominated the Rays in his last outing before the break, striking out 11 batters in six innings. He's worth turning to again for the strikeout upside, as the Rays have a 26.0% K-rate against lefties this year, third-highest in the league. Paxton's got an outstanding 28.9% strikeout-rate of his own, and while his 4.01 ERA isn't ideal, it comes with a career-high .358 BABIP. His 3.64 FIP suggests there's positive regression on the way, so he's a strong buy at this price.

Jakob Junis: KC vs CHW ($6,800)

While Junis isn't a very good pitcher, he faces a weak White Sox lineup at a super low price. The White Sox have just a .301 wOBA versus right-handed pitching, as well as a 25.5% K-rate. Junis will leave you lots of payroll to spend on hitters, so he will be a valuable play if he can handle Chicago's offense. Junis will likely come at a low ownership as well, making him a contrarian play.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Joc Pederson: 1B, LOS at PHI ($2,600)

Pederson has crushed righties to the tune of a 136 wRC+ this season, with 20 home runs and just an 18.1% K-rate. He'll be leading off for the Dodgers, a spot where he can easily score runs with a loaded lineup behind him. The Dodgers are a good stack option in a hitter's park in Philadelphia against Zach Eflin, owner of a 4.66 FIP.

Scooter Gennett: 2B, CIN at CHC ($2,800)

It appears that Gennett is finally healthy enough to be considered the Reds everyday second baseman, which is exciting news for fantasy owners. He's held a .303/.351/.508 line over the last two seasons as one of the most reliable producers at the position. You can still get Gennett for cheap, but that might not last long if he heats up quickly.

Jose Ramirez: 3B, CLE vs DET ($3,400)

Ramirez is batting .284 with an .859 OPS over the last month, along with four homers and three steals. It may not be the elite level production that we expected from Ramirez, but this is a huge step forward for him and is something worth buying in to. Ramirez has been much better against lefties this year, with a 1.63 BB/K, and faces a southpaw in Daniel Norris who has a 4.96 ERA.

Adalberto Mondesi: SS, KC vs CWS ($3,500)

Many owners are likely to fade Mondesi against a tough starter in Giolito, but for a player with this kind of upside, it's tough to avoid him at this price tag. Mondesi already has 30 steals, and for what it's worth, Gioltio got rocked for six earned runs in his last start out.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Andrew Benintendi: BOS vs TOR ($3,300)

The Red Sox lineup should have a big night at home against Trent Thornton, who has an awful 4.85 ERA. While Benintendi has been cold lately, this is a tremendous opportunity for him to rack up some counting stats out of Boston's five-hole.

Nicholas Castellanos: DET at CLE ($3,000)

Tigers bats are a sneaky play against Cleveland starter Adam Plutko, whose got an abysmal 5.85 FIP with a 2.48 HR/9. Castellanos has a .337 average with a .921 OPS over the last month, and can be had for quite cheap. Consider teammates Miguel Cabrera and Christin Stewart as a value stack.

Kevin Pillar: SFG at COL ($3,300)

Even as a six hitter, Pillar can have a huge performance in Coors Field, the league's top offensive environment. A Giants stack is going to be a popular play against Antonio Senzatela, who has a 5.64 SIERA, but they are still worth looking at in any contest.
