FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (9/14/16): MLB DFS Advice

Max Petrie highlights the top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for 9/14/16. These are the top value and sleeper plays for your FanDuel MLB DFS lineups.

Welcome to back Rotoballers to another wild Wednesday of FanDuel contests. If you followed my Monday picks, your account is in good shape to keep it going today. Perhaps you're looking to capitalize on your NFL winnings or need your baseball fix because you're team missed the playoffs. Have no fear, because we have all 30 teams are in play with first pitch at 3:37 ET if you play the early slate (3 games) and 7:05 ET for the main slate. It's a heavy pitching slate, with Jose Fernandez, Clayton Kershaw, Yu Darvish, Madison Bumgarner, Jon Lester, and Rick Porcello all set to pitch.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for FanDuel on 9/14/16. As for Vegas insights, the heavy moneyline favorites tonight are the Giants (-280), Blue Jays (-180) and Dodgers (-180). The highest scoring totals are Rockies-Diamondbacks (10) and Twins-Tigers (9.5).

Editor's Note: Purchase a full season NFL Premium Pass (including DFS Premium), and also get MLB Premium + DFS for free through the playoffs. DFS Lineup Stacks to Target for FanDuel

White Sox versus Josh Tomlin

After a solid first half (3.51 ERA), Tomlin fell apart in the second half (7.53), most notably an atrocious August. He allowed 34 earned runs in 26 innings along with 10 home runs. The White Sox can put up numbers in a hurry, just like last night's seven-spot in the sixth inning.

Also Consider: Diamondbacks versus Jeff Hoffman

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel

Madison Bumgarner (SP, SF) - $10,700

Bumgarner has made a great case for NL Cy Young (226 K, 2.61 ERA/1.04 WHIP) and has been dominant at home this season; he has a 1.91 ERA and held hitters to a .184 average in 15 starts this year. The Padres lineup has been nonexistent since Matt Kemp left and the Giants are in a playoff hunt. I smell a shutout.

Tyler Skaggs (SP, LAA) - $7,300

If you want to play the contrarian card with the heavy pitching slate, Skaggs is my choice. He has posted a quality start in three consecutive starts and has 21 strikeouts in 18 innings in that span. This is solely for tournament purposes, but Skaggs should produce the strikeouts to provide a solid floor tonight.

DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel

Catcher (C) - Derek Norris (C, SD) - $2,400

On such a pitcher-heavy slate punting will be key, and this is the perfect spot. While Norris has been a disappointment in 2016, he is 10-for-33 (.303) versus Bumgarner in his career and should have a bare minimum ownership level.

First Base (1B) - Kendrys Morales (1B, KC) - $3,100

Before last night Morales had 15 RBI in his past seven games and continues to carry a hot bat for the still contending Royals. Morales has a 1.205 OPS in September and has a .854 OPS versus LHP.

Second Base (2B) - Dustin Pedroia (2B, BOS) - $3,500

The Laser Show has been a monster for the Red Sox, hitting .375 in the second half with a .931 OPS. He is hitting .467 in the past 20 at-bats and is 6-for-16 (.375) versus Kevin Gausman.

Shortstop (SS) - Jose Peraza (SS, CIN) - $2,800

Peraza continues to bat atop the Reds lineup ahead of second-half stud Joey Votto and is reaping the benefits. He is hitting .367 with three stolen bases over his past 47 at-bats.

Third Base (3B) - Jung Ho Kang (3B, PIT) - $3,500

If it ain't broke don't fix it. Kang continues to provide useful fantasy production and gets the dismal Jake Thompson tonight. Kang is now .551 with four home runs in September.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel

Nelson Cruz (OF, SEA) - $3,700

Yes, Cruz does crush left-handed pitching. But he's also been heating up (.345, 8 RBI) and the Mariners as a whole have been one of the hottest teams in September (.897 OPS is 1st).

Brandon Drury (OF, ARI) - $3,000

Whenever Drury finds himself in the lineup lately, he's been producing. He has a five-game hitting streak with three home runs in that span and should continue to see playing time so the Diamondbacks can decide on his future for 2017.

Keon Broxton (OF, MIL) - $2,800

Broxton has two home runs and a steal in his past five games and is playing in the second most favorable park tonight versus Tim Adleman, a replacement-level starter.

Also Consider: Trea Turner (OF, WAS) - $4,400 and Curtis Granderson (OF, NYM) - $3,200
