DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (11/16/21): NBA DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on November 16, 2021. Euan Leith provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

Happy Tuesday, RotoBallers! Man, these slates are getting small. Another three-game evening provides many decisions to be made but not much room to get away from them. Philadelphia is still without their big man, Joel Embiid (protocols), and it's seen a considerable rise for Tyrese Maxey and the recently returned Tobias Harris. Meanwhile, The stars align in Brooklyn as Stephen Curry visits his former teammate, Kevin Durant, in a battle between two of the hottest teams in the league.

The people in Vegas believe the Warriors-Nets game will be the closest game of the night, with Brooklyn as three-point favorites. It should be an excellent opportunity for the Nets in a pace-up spot versus the Warriors and their fourth-fastest pace rating. Meanwhile, the 76ers-Jazz game should be a slow slugfest, but if you find the right players in this one, you'll have a great chance at a low-rostered gem. Finally, the Spurs-Clippers finish the evening with a potential high-flying contest. Both teams sit inside the top-seven for pace in 2021, and it boosts the floors of several guys who should be in your potential player pool.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 11/16/21. You can also check out today's FanDuel lineup picks. Remember to monitor injury news as the slate can completely change before lineups lock.

DraftKings Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Stephen Curry - PG, GSW at BKN ($10,900)

Coming into tonight's game, the Brooklyn Nets are a formidable defense for guards. They allow the third-fewest fantasy points per game (FPPG) to point guards and the second-fewest to shooting guards. Still, that kind of defense is not enough to deter me from slotting Stephen Curry into my lineups on a small, three-game slate.

In the last four games, Curry's taken at least 20 shots on three occasions. And, in those three games, the two-time MVP averages 67.6 FPPG while accumulating 38 points, 8.3 assists, six rebounds, 3.6 stocks (steals+blocks), and seven three-pointers per contest. Less than 15 points decided all three matchups, and Vegas currently has the Nets as three-point favorites over the Warriors. Curry will get a massive workload in a close game and have another outstanding performance for our DFS lineups.

Eric Bledsoe - PG/SG. LAC vs. SAS ($5,200)

In his second stint with the Los Angeles Clippers, Eric Bledsoe is rising from the ashes and looks like a great play on Tuesday's schedule. It took him a while to gain worthwhile minutes, but there are finally here for the 31-year old, and he is putting them to good use. Over his last four games, Bledsoe is averaging 33.2 minutes per game and recording 16.8 points on 51 percent shooting, with 5.3 assists, 4.8 rebounds, one block, and two three-pointers on 40 percent shooting. Altogether, it's coming out to 34.2 FPPG for the Clippers guard, and he's providing excellent returns on his low salary.

He meets a Spurs defense tonight, allowing the sixth-most fantasy points to point guards in a game with the highest projected pace on my sheet. Bledsoe is rising through the ranks of this offense, and another big night against San Antonio will further solidify his role moving forward.

Others to consider: James Harden ($10,600), Dejounte Murray ($9,500), Donovan Mitchell ($8,600), Tyrese Maxey ($7,200), Reggie Jackson ($6,100)

DraftKings Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Tobias Harris - PF, PHI at UTA ($8,500)

Harris returned to the court on Thursday night, and he's seamlessly slid back into the superstar-sized hole Philadelphia has been looking to fill. Joel Embiid (protocols) is still on the sidelines, and it's forcing the 76ers to lean on their second option like they would on their first option. In the two games since Harris came back, he's averaging 25.5 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and 2.5 triples. He's taking 20 shots per game, and it seems safe to rely on that kind of usage until Philadelphia returns to full health. Vegas seems to think the matchup with the Jazz will turn into a bit of a rock fight, and I tend to agree. However, there's always value in these types of contests, and I'll happily take a chance on a high-usage, low-rostered star like Harris on a three-game schedule.

Andrew Wiggins - SG/SF, GSW at BKN ($6,500)

Over his last three games, Wiggins has provided Warriors fans and DFS managers with his most consistent stretch of the young season. The former-No. 1 overall pick has had his ups and downs, but this is certainly something he can build off moving forward. Wiggins averaged 26 points on 58.4 percent shooting in the trio of contests, with 5.6 rebounds, 1.6 stocks, and two three-pointers per game. The rebounding numbers boost his floor to accompany the shooting stats, making Wiggins feel "safe" on Tuesday's schedule. Brooklyn's middle-of-the-road defense to small forwards will help Wiggins too. They allow the 12th-most FPPG to the position, the second-worst rate among the six teams playing tonight.

Others to consider: Kevin Durant ($10,300), Keldon Johnson ($6,000), Nicolas Batum ($5,000), Bruce Brown ($4,200)

DraftKings Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Thaddeus Young - PF/C, SAS at LAC ($5,300)

Thaddeus Young's tenure with the Spurs is finally clicking and posting positive results on the court and in our DFS lineups. After playing less than 23 minutes in the first eight games of the year, the 33-year old has eclipsed that playing-time mark in five consecutive games. Young is averaging 13 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.6 assists, and 2.2 stocks per game for 30.25 fantasy points during this run. In addition, the veteran forward is providing crazy efficiency, shooting 69.8 percent from the floor.

Tonight's game against Los Angeles should be going up and down the court at a pretty good clip (103.53 projected pace), and Young should see a few more looks in his 24-26 minutes of action. The Clippers are a middle-of-the-pack defense against centers, and if Young continues this form, I can see a six or seven times return on value performance for the big man.

Ivica Zubac - C, LAC vs. SAS ($4,900)

I'm sticking with this Clippers-Spurs game and going right down to the other end of the floor with Ivica Zubac. I'm recommending two low-cost centers today because Andre Drummond seems to be falling back to Earth, and I'm not enamored with any of the other high-priced options. Plus, if it gives me a chance of rostering two of Curry, Durant, Harris, or Harden, I'm going to go with that route on a three-game night.

Regardless, back to Zubac. The man from Bosnia and Herzegovina is having a career year for the Clippers and finds himself with a fantastic matchup. San Antonio allows the ninth-most fantasy points to centers, and they are still without Jakob Poetl to protect the rim. Zubac has scored at least 30 fantasy points in three of his last six games, and they've all happened when he plays at least 28 minutes. If he can stay on the court, the 24-year old is a perfect discount addition to your DFS roster.

Others to consider: Andre Drummond ($8,700), LaMarcus Aldridge ($4,800), Isaiah Hartenstein ($3,500)
