DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (11/16/19): NBA DFS Lineups

By Keith Allison. CCSA2.0. Flickr via Wikicommons (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Austin_Rivers_%2831585856272%29.jpg)

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on November 16, 2019. Jake Finnen provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

There was some speculation before tip-off Friday that Russell Westbrook would be missing one of the two Rockets games this weekend. Since he played 35 minutes in Friday's contest against an out-of-conference opponent, I don't understand why he would sit in a game that actually carries playoff implications. Maybe I am the only thinking about that, but if Westbrook misses this next game, both Thabo Sefolosha and Austin Rivers are viable options.

With quite a few teams playing on the second night of a back-to-back, you might want to wait to hear some lineups announcements before deciding on the super-value pick of the night. As of right now, Gogo Bitadze and Sefolosha are looking like the top value targets.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 11/16/19. You can also check out today's FanDuel lineup picks.  Remember to monitor injury news as the slate can completely change before line-up lock.

DraftKings DFS Guards

Cam Reddish - PG/SG, @ LAC ($3,700)

Cam Reddish was not able to make the most of his minutes last game against the Suns and playing against the Clippers does not look good on paper. One of his biggest weaknesses to this point in the season has been shooting and that's not great for DFS. Since he has yet to have a really solid game this season, he will need to show up at some point and playing in Los Angeles is a perfect chance for both Reddish and Trae Young to produce.

Young is talented enough on his own to score against anyone, and Reddish is one of the secondary scoring options, meaning the Clippers will resort to letting him score rather than locking him up.

Justin Holiday - SG/SF, vs. MIL($3,500)

Justin Holiday played a season-high 39 minutes against the Rockets Friday, but he only managed to score 10 points on 13 shots. Not a great start to what should be a big week for him, although he has a chance to provide more value if he can simply improve on his production against the Bucks. Unfortunately, there is a good chance Holiday will be forced to deal with some of the defending Giannis Antetokounmpo duties, so look for his minutes to be close to 35 again.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Dwayne Bacon- SG/SF, @ NYK ($3,100)

Despite the Knicks ranking fourth against opposing shooting guards, Dwyane Bacon is lined up to have productive nights nearly every time he plays. Until he recently started missing games, Bacon was the epitome of a boom-or-bust play. If he isn't taking 15 shots a game, then he isn't scoring at all. If he gets the ball, then he really gets the ball. Even with minimal production, Bacon has seen some incredibly high-usage games and when watching the Hornets play, they seem to try and force-feed Bacon. If he is playing, he might be worth the investment.

Trey Lyles  - PF, vs. POR ($3,500)

This is without Jonathan Isaac, but Trey Lyles posted one of his better nights of the season against the Magic. The minutes were there but scoring eight points on seven shots leaves much more to be desired from him. If he can rebound against Portland like he did against the Magic, there is no doubt he is going to crush his projected.

Realistically, it should not be hard for him to find production in this game and rebounding should be his biggest concern. Lyles needs to start hitting his shots or the Spurs are going to keep slipping. Lyles won't save the season, but for our sake, any player that plays 25+ minutes and does nothing with them is downright frustrating.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Chris Boucher - PF/C, @ DAL ($4,000)

Somehow the Mavericks frontcourt isn't ranked dead last versus opposing centers so hopefully that can keep Boucher as a low-owned option. Since he had his first real 'bad' game since Serge Ibaka got injured, expect a rebound. I mean, yes, expect rebounds, but more importantly, Boucher needs to bounce back.

His price won't ruin the rest of your salary and playing against the likes of Kristaps Porzingis, Dwight Powell, and Maxi Kleber opens the door for not just Boucher, but literally any Raptors player that thrives on scoring in the paint or getting to the rim.
