DraftKings College Basketball DFS Lineup Picks for 12/21/22 - CBB Daily Fantasy Advice

Armando Bacot CBB DFS ncaa tournament daily fantasy college basketball march madness

Today's DraftKings college basketball DFS lineup picks for 12/21/22. Mike Marteny's CBB daily fantasy advice and lineup sleepers to help you win on DraftKings.

It is the shortest day (well...hours of daylight anyway) of the year, but we are long on college basketball action tonight. We have nine games going on, starting with St. John's heading to Philly to take on Villanova and Virginia Tech climbing Chestnut Hill to take on Boston College. A half-hour later, we have a big one in Charlotte with Michigan taking on North Carolina.

7:30 brings Clemson down to Atlanta to take on Georgia Tech. An hour after that, we have Notre Dame in Tallahassee to take on the Seminoles. We head West for the 9 pm tips with Auburn in Seattle to take on the Huskies and TCU heading out to Salt Lake to take on the Utes. At 10 pm, the Dons of San Francisco host Arizona State. We close this out in Phoenix with Colorado State taking on USC. This is going to be a fun one!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 12/21/22, starting at 6:30 pm Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards

Matthew Cleveland, Florida State ($8,300)

Cleveland continues to post huge numbers with Cam'Ron Fletcher sidelined for Florida State. He is averaging 34 DraftKings points per game in four December contests so far, posting a double-double in three of those games. One of those was against the staunch defense of Virginia, so the Irish don't worry me. Cleveland should have another strong performance here.

Kobe Johnson, USC ($7,400)

Johnson has been very efficient with his shots (21-32 from the floor in the past five games), which makes all of his peripheral stats that much more important. Johnson has four straight games in double figures in scoring and has put up 23 rebounds, 17 assists, and 16 steals in that span with just nine turnovers. He stuffs the stat sheet across the board, giving Johnson a very high floor with a nice upside if he's going to keep shooting like this.

Devan Cambridge, Arizona State ($6,000)

Where Desmond relies mostly on his efficient shooting for value, Devan is a board-crasher extraordinaire along with efficient shooting on his limited shots. The Sun Devils have racked up nine straight wins now, with Cambridge clearing 22 DraftKings points in five of the last seven games. His newfound aggressiveness on the boards has led to a more well-rounded game for Cambridge, making him far less risky than he was a month ago.

Brevin Galloway, Clemson ($4,100)

It remains to be seen whether Galloway coming off the bench over the weekend is a permanent thing, but it seemed to jump-start the guard. Galloway racked up 10 points, four rebounds, and three assists in his 21 minutes against the Spiders. He was more efficient in a bench role, so the minutes don't matter as much if he is going to continue to be a force playing off the bench.

Also consider: Sean Pedulla, Virginia Tech ($8,700); Kobe Bufkin, Michigan ($7,900); Desmond Cambridge, Arizona State ($7,600); Rollie Worster, Utah ($6,900); Miles Kelly, Georgia Tech ($5,900); Lazar Stefanovic, Utah ($4,900); Darius Maddox, Virginia Tech ($4,200); Keyon Menifield, Washington

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards

Armando Bacot, North Carolina ($9,400)

Bacot went nuts on Ohio State over the weekend, posting 51.75 DraftKings points on the Buckeyes. This is what we've come to expect from Bacot and his slow(ish) start is a distant memory right now. He has five consecutive double-doubles and I don't see Dickinson and Michigan stopping him from making it six.

Hunter Tyson, Clemson ($8,400)

This is another forward-heavy slate, but we have tons of value at guard that I couldn't even list half of the guys that I'm interested in using. Loyola-Chicago locked down Tyson last week, but not every team has the size inside that the Ramblers do. Tyson still has only been held under 20 DraftKings points once on the season and has cleared 40 three times, including going above 35 in four of the last five contests. He's a strong play once again against Georgia Tech.

PJ Hall, Clemson ($6,800)

If you find yourself a bit tight on cash, you can step down to Hall from Tyson without losing a whole lot. Tyson has a huge upside, but Hall has at least 30 DraftKings points in the same four of the last five that Tyson has, and he has done it in about 10 fewer minutes. Hall is the poor man's Tyson, and I'm poor. I'm using Hall. However, I will make sure to use them together in at least one lineup.

James Moors, Colorado State ($5,100)

Patrick Cartier plays a few more minutes on average and is a better scorer, but I prefer the work of Moors on the glass. His defense-first mentality gives him a better floor even in fewer minutes. What has me leaning toward Moors is the remarkable efficiency he has shown in limited minutes. I'll use him as a value punt with the hope that the coaching staff takes notice of his little hot streak and gives him a few more minutes.

Also consider: Joel Soriano, St. John's ($8,600); Branden Carlson, Utah ($7,900); Pete Nance, North Carolina ($6,900); Jalon Moore, Georgia Tech ($6,700); C.J. Penha, Boston College ($5,500); Jamiya Neal, Arizona State ($4,400)
