DraftKings CBB DFS Lineup Picks for 2/3/21 - Daily Fantasy College Basketball Advice

CBB DFS lineup picks DraftKings NCAA daily college fantasy basketball

Mike Marteny offers his DraftKings daily fantasy college basketball sleepers for 1/27/21. His CBB DFS lineup picks and sleepers will help you win on DraftKings.

We have another big mid-week slate of college basketball on DraftKings with nine games going on tonight. It's heavy on the Big East and ACC which means we have both Champagnie twins active on this one. It's a nice story to play them together, but is it worth the price? Can we still build a good lineup around them?

In college basketball it's perfectly fine to ignore slow-paced games or teams with tough matchups on a large slate like this. Don't worry, we have plenty of paced-up games going on here. LSU and Alabama promises to be the fastest paced game out there. I will have plenty of shares, mainly from the Alabama side. Oklahoma State takes on TCU, so there's goodness to be had from the Cowboys as well. What other places should we go after. There's no really low hanging fruit like Duke, but there's still plenty to choose from.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 2/3/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards

David Duke, Providence ($8,200)

Duke had a dreadful game from the floor against Georgetown over the weekend. I'm willing to forgive that since that was his first game under 25 DraftKings points on the season. Duke racked up 36.5 in the first meeting with the Hall. What really has me intrigued about that stat line is that Duke only made four of 13 shot attempts and he played the entire game. There's room for growth in those numbers. Duke is well worth paying for here.

Cade Cunningham, Oklahoma State ($7,500)

Cunningham's minutes were back up to normal against Arkansas and he put on quite the show. His price barely moved on DraftKings despite the 42.25 he hung on the Razorbacks in notching yet another win for the Big 12(10) in the Big 12-SEC challenge. It's back to conference play for Cunningham and the Cowboys this week as they try to avenge a one-point loss to the Toadies back on December 16. These teams are heading in opposite directions right now, but Cunningham's 35 DraftKings point total in that game should remain. Cunningham is my top priority with his price this low. I really like pairing him with Isaac Ikekele too. Those are the two that did the most damage in the first meeting.

Jaden Shackleford, Alabama ($6,100)

Shackleford is a great way to get a piece of this game at a reasonable price. He is also remarkably consistent, so maybe Shackleford is maybe better suited for cash games. However, he has only had one game in the teens and one game in the 30's since conference play began. You're paying for a guaranteed score in the 20's. There's potential for more in what will likely be a high scoring game, but Shackleford didn't hit 30 in the first meeting. There's no guarantee that he will here either.

Joshua Primo, Alabama ($4,400)

Primo's price plummeted after a miserable game at Oklahoma on Saturday. The Oklahoma guards were able to shut down the freshman, but I'm more focused on what he did in the first game against LSU. It's was Primo's coming out party. He put up 32 DraftKings points in that game. It has been a rough road over the last week or so for Primo. Kentucky and Oklahoma both kept him under wraps, but maybe taking a crack at LSU again can get him going. For this price, it's certainly worth it to find out.

Also consider: Herbert Jones, Alabama ($8,100); Posh Alexander, St. John's ($7,200); Justin Moore, Villanova ($6,400); Mike Miles, TCU ($6,000)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards

Justin Champagnie, Pittsburgh ($10,000)

Champagnie is a rarity in the world of college basketball, and not just because he has a twin playing on another major team or that he is the only player priced in five figures. Champagnie returned from injury on January 16. In the five games since then, he hasn't been below 40 DraftKings points. He is the only guy that you can realistically count on to get you 40 every time out. This is a tougher matchup against Virginia Tech, but I'm not betting against Champagnie right now, especially in cash games.

Keve Aluma, Virginia Tech ($7,900)

For as much of a beast as Champagnie is, he's still not a superstar defender. Pitt's post defense has been a sore spot all season long. We just saw Aluma bully Virginia in the paint over the weekend and statistically they are much better up front than Pitt is. However, you know the old saying. There are lies, damn lies, and statistics. I'll trust the eye test with Aluma here recently. His game against Syracuse was a foul-riddled disaster, but Aluma tore up both Notre Dame and Virginia since. Both of those teams are solid up front. This feels like another strong game for Aluma.

John Petty, Alabama ($6,700)

Petty was the guy that really stuck to to LSU the first time around. Petty dropped 41.5 DraftKings points on the Tigers. Since that game, Petty hasn't had as large of a role in the offense, but that is mostly because of the teams they have played. LSU can't handle Petty on the inside, but it is worth noting that Alabama has a lot of different weapons on this team. Just because Petty was the guy that exploded the first time around doesn't mean he can duplicate that performance. However, this is a paced-up game that's going to have a lot of offense. I don't see Petty not paying off this price.

Javon Pickett, Missouri ($4,000)

Pickett moved into the starting lineup after a strong performance against Auburn. Pickett played 33 minutes against TCU. If he's going to be playing this many minutes, we need to consider him at this price. Kentucky is another one of those college basketball blue bloods that is struggling this year. I really like this Missouri front here, especially Pickett at this low of a price. He's most a scorer, but 30 minutes for this low of a price is a gift on a slate where we need value.

Also consider: Jeremiah Tilmon, Missouri ($8,300); Sandro Mamukelashvili, Seton Hall ($7,800); Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, Villanova ($6,900); Cole Swider, Virginia ($4,500)
