DraftKings and FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (12/2/22): NBA DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on December 2, 2022. Mike Marteny provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

So here I am, pinch-hitting for the Friday NBA DFS picks. I'll tell you...after covering Thursdays so far this season, the 11-game Friday nighter makes me feel like the little frog in Frogger. So, come navigate with me across 11 games of NBA traffic to the land of DFS cash (we hope)!

With both FanDuel and DraftKings having multi-position eligibility players, we'll have to attack slates accordingly to make our lineups as optimal as possible. That's where I come in! I'll look to find my personal top plays and values for tonight's slate. Things can change during the day as well, so I'll do my best to update as news comes out!

Here are my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on 12/2/22. Keep an eye on RotoBaller’s NBA injury news and also our full NBA injury report today to stay up to date before lineups are locked.

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Ja Morant - vs. PHI (FD: $9,900, DK: $10,800)

The Sixers are still without Tyrese Maxey and James Harden, so Ja will be operating against backup guards. Shake and Melton are solid players, but there's a reason they don't start 70 games per season. There's someone better than them. Morant is a constant triple-double threat, and the potential for that bonus is baked into his DK price. He is scoring at a torrid pace (28.2 points per game) and still doing everything else at a high level. He always has the potential for a ceiling game.

Shake Milton - at MEM (FD: $6,600, DK: $6,500)

De'Anthony Melton is probably the more stable of the Philly guard options right now, but the upside of Milton is intoxicating, especially since his price is still about $1k less than Melton. He, as well as the rest of his teammates, had a lackluster night against Cleveland, but that doesn't discount the run he has been on since Maxey went down. Wednesday's game was the first time Shake has been under 30 DK points since his first game as the starter on November 18.

Collin Sexton - vs. IND (FD: $5,100, DK: $5,500)

Sexton and company have seriously hurt Utah's chances at winning the Wembanyama Sweepstakes. They are actually winning games! This will likely earn Sexton and Markkanen one-way tickets out of Salt Lake by the end of January. Who wants winners anyway? For now, I'm content with winning the DFS lottery by having Sexton crush 6x value on a nightly basis. He has at least 32 DraftKings points in four of his last five games with Mike Conley out. Enjoy the value while it lasts!

Also consider: Devin Booker(FD: $10,200, DK: $10,100); Jrue Holiday (FD: $7,800, DK: $7,500); Tre Jones (FD: $6,400, DK $6,200); Dyson Daniels (FD: $4,400, DK $4,500)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Zion Williamson - at SA (FD: $8,900, DK: $9,000)

The buy-low on Zion may be over. The Pelicans have played him a full complement of minutes over the last two games and he crushed Toronto and Oklahoma City to the tune of 56 points, 18 rebounds, 13 assists, five blocks, and five steals. That's hitting every category known to stathead-kind and boosts his DFS prowess even more. He has only missed ten of 33 shots in that span as well. His efficiency and overall dominance right now make Zion feel cheap against a team like the Spurs.

Jaren Jackson Jr. - vs. PHI (FD: $7,800, DK: $7,000)

JJJ is always a high-upside play. He's a double-double waiting to happen and is very efficient even in his limited minutes. His fantasy points-per-minute stats are elite, but his upside remains capped so long as he isn't topping 30 minutes. That said, he is priced competitively on both sites for the upside he can provide. He remains a solid cash play and a GPP darling.

Trey Murphy - at SA (FD: $5,700, DK: $5,700)

Hey, it's an elite matchup for the Pelicans and Brandon Ingram is still out. So is Herbert Jones. That means 35+ minutes for Murphy again who has dumped in 20 or more actual points in three straight games. He doesn't do much else aside from rebound, but he is hitting nearly 5x value on actual points alone. Murphy is underpriced for the playing time he is going to get in this one.

Also consider: Jayson Tatum (FD: $10,800, DK: $10,900), DeMar DeRozan (FD: $8,600, DK: $8,300), Keldon Johnson (FD: $7,000, DK $7,200); Jarred Vanderbilt (FD: $5,400, DK: $4,800)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Nikola Jokic - at ATL (FD: $11,200, DK: $11,400)

There's a reason why this guy has won two straight MVP awards. Jokic logs double-doubles without breaking a sweat and is a constant triple-double threat. He started the season a little slowly before a stint in the health and safety protocols, but since returning from that absence. Jokic has averaged 27.6 points, 10.6 rebounds, and nine assists. He's worth paying a little extra for.

Kristaps Porzingis - at CHA (FD: $9,100, DK: $8,700)

Porzinigis annihilated the Nets and the Timberwolves on the interior over the last two games and should do the same to the center-starved Hornets. Porzingis is showing flashes of what he did when he first landed in New York lately. He's efficient shooting the ball and is owning the glass and protecting the rim. We've seen flashes like this since and he usually burns us shortly after, so tread lightly until we know this is a thing.

Also consider: Joel Embiid (FD: $11,500, DK: $11,300); Deandre Ayton (FD: $8,000, DK ($7,900); Kelly Olynyk (FD: $6,000, DK: $5,800)
