Dalvin Cook is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for running backs. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 9 of the 2024 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: When the only clip of Dalvin Cook being shared on social media is of him potentially drinking on the sidelines, you know he didn't have a good showing.
In his first active game with the Dallas Cowboys, the four-time Pro Bowler rushed six times for 12 yards and caught one pass for 10 yards. He played 27 percent of the snaps. In a desperate effort to revitalize their ground game, the Cowboys turned to Cook and Ezekiel Elliott. A reminder that the year is 2024, not 2016.

The Cowboys' running backs averaged 2.7 yards per carry. Cook brought the average down with two yards per attempt.
Rico Dowdle was out of the lineup with an illness and should return next week. He hasn't set the world on fire either, but clearly has more juice (4.17 yards per carry) than Cook and Elliott.
At best, Cook is the third running back on the worst rushing offense in the NFL. Add him if you're a fantasy manager clamoring for two to three points in your lineup. Otherwise, he's not a fantasy football asset.
