Chris Godwin Injury Update
Earlier this week, Rick Stroud of The Tampa Bay Times reported that Godwin was viewed as "week-to-week" due to this fibula injury. While this injury is in different care from the neck injury he suffered last season, Godwin could be facing a lengthy absence.
However, Stroud noted that for now, the team is not looking to place him on the injured reserve.
While Godwin has already been ruled out for Week 6, he will likely be in danger of missing Week 7 as well due to his previous injury history.
UPDATE: Chris Godwin’s fibula injury is in a different area than the fracture he suffered when he dislocated his ankle last Oct. Right now he will be week-to-week depending on how he progresses. There are no plans to put him on injured reserve at this time, per sources. https://t.co/OrCRZ6q7O6

Week 6 Waiver Wire Replacements
With Godwin ruled out, managers may need to pivot to alternative positions on the waiver wire who could have short-term streaming upside this weekend.
Ryan Flournoy, Cowboys
With CeeDee Lamb sidelined last weekend (and listed to miss another game on Sunday), Flournoy enjoyed a breakout game. During their victory over the Jets, Flournoy led the way, catching six of his nine targets for 114 yards. While he will still be the No. 2 option behind George Pickens, Flournoy should continue to see consistent targets as he appears to have surpassed Jalen Tolbert on the depth chart.
Even though he has a tougher matchup against the Panthers, who have allowed the second-fewest PPR points to opposing WRs this season, Flournoy's projected target share in a high-octane offense makes him a viable streaming option.

Tyquan Thornton, Chiefs
While Tyquan Thornton will see his role decline once Rashee Rice returns from suspension, he should remain in a starting role on Sunday when the Chiefs face the Lions. In their Week 5 loss to the Jaguars, Thornton led the team in receiving yards, catching three of his five targets for 90 yards. Through five games this season, Thornton has tallied 272 yards and three scores on 13 receptions.
Thornton could be in store for another productive showing facing the Detroit Lions in what should be a projected high-scoring affair. Through the first month, the Lions have allowed the seventh-most PPR points to opposing WRs this season, which makes Thornton an intriguing WR3 with upside.
Tre Tucker, Raiders
The final WR is a target for managers in shallower leagues. Tucker enjoyed a career game in Week 3 when he brought in eight receptions for 145 yards and three scores. However, after his two-catch 13-yard showing in Week 4, many managers cut ties with Tucker.
He was able to bounce back in Week 5, bringing in four of his six targets for 62 yards. This weekend, Tucker should be poised to continue to find his footing facing a weak Tennessee secondary. The Titans have allowed the 17th-most PPR points to opposing WRs this season.
In addition, with star tight end Brock Bowers (knee) slated to miss another game, Tucker should remain a top target for Geno Smith.
