CBB DFS: Night DraftKings Daily Fantasy College Basketball Picks - Today's Top Lineups (1/8/25)

Hunter Dickinson - Kevin McCullar Jr. - CBB DFS Picks, NCAA Daily College Fantasy Basketball

Today's Night DraftKings CBB DFS lineup picks for 1/8/25. Mike M's top daily fantasy college basketball sleepers to build winning NCAA DFS lineups on DraftKings.

The nightcap was a blast last night, and it looks like it will be again tonight! Just because the slate is smaller doesn't mean that we don't have star power. There's plenty to go around as we go coast-to-coast for Wednesday's finale!

The night starts in Champaign with Penn State in town. Arizona State gets its first taste of the Phog in conference play. Oklahoma tries to get back on track at home against the Aggies. Virginia Tech heads out to the Bay Area to face Stanford. Virginia does the same to face Cal in Berkeley to finish our night.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks on DraftKings on 1/8/25, starting at 9 p.m. EST. I’ll give multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the salary scale's high, middle, and lower levels. Good luck, RotoBallers.

Today's DraftKings Guards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Jeremiah Fears, Oklahoma ($8.4K)

The thing is ... Alabama went after Fears hard and he still put up 31.75 DraftKings points, his fourth consecutive game over 30. Alabama did an excellent job on him and the freshman still came through for us DFS players in just 26 minutes of court time. It should be marginally easier against A&M tonight with Wade Taylor IV out.

Zhuric Phelps, Texas A&M ($7.1K)

Phelps had some big games early on when Taylor struggled. He'll do it again with Taylor out. Phelps isn't the volume shooter that Taylor is. He's more selective with his shots and doesn't shoot as many threes. That's not to say that he can't put up big point totals. Don't expect a huge game against a solid Oklahoma team, but he'll be plenty good enough at this price.

Hayden Hefner, Texas A&M ($4.7K)

The shoes of Wade Taylor IV are big ones to fill. Expect Phelps to take on a much larger role and a combination of 2-3 other guards to pick up the rest of the slack. Hefner's role may not change much. He plays about 20 minutes per game anyway and is a quick-release scorer who knows how to get points. He's the least risky option of the other Aggie guards.

Shakeel Moore, Kansas ($3.9K)

The Jayhawks gave Moore his first start of the season over the weekend and they scored 99 points. Was it a coincidence? Maybe. Moore still only played 20 minutes, but he was productive when he was out there. If he starts again, he's worth a GPP dart at this price.

Also consider: Andrej Stojakovic, California ($8.2K); Zeke Mayo, Kansas ($7K); Tre White, Illinois ($6.5K); Freddie Dilione V, Penn State ($5.7K); Ben Hammond, Virginia Tech ($4.7K); Manny Obaseki, Texas A&M ($3.9K)

Today's DraftKings Forwards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Maxime Raynaud, Stanford ($9.6K)

Hunter Dickinson's ceiling may be higher, but the Stanford offense runs through Raynaud. Dickinson sometimes disappears for stretches and the threat of a blowout lessens his impact.

We know that Raynaud is going to produce for the Cardinal. Pitt was able to keep him off the boards, but the Hokies don't have the size to keep him from his fourth double-double in the last five games.

Basheer Jihad, Arizona State ($6.7K)

Dickinson will likely be the guy on Jayden Quaintance, which leaves Jihad on an undersized guard/forward hybrid. BYU's size flustered Arizona State, but the duo of Quaintance and Jihad has been very good in every other game. There is an avenue to some success against Kansas.

Toibu Lawal, Virginia Tech ($6.2K)

Lawal has made 15 of his 19 shots over the last two games against Miami and Duke. This is a much easier matchup against Stanford tonight. I'm not above riding the hot hand to chase DFS success, especially when the hot hand is a good rebounder just in case he goes cold from the field.

Ben Humrichous, Illinois ($5.2K)

Humrichous has played big minutes for the Illini since the calendar flipped to 2025. He does more for the team than is measured in the box score and DFS, but he still does enough when he's priced this low. It's all about opportunity at this price, and Humrichous has played 61 minutes in two games this year. That's a lot of chances to do something.

Also consider: Hunter Dickinson, Kansas ($10.1K); Jayden Quaintance, Arizona State ($8.6K); Jalon Moore, Oklahoma ($7.3K); Sam Godwin, Oklahoma ($6.3K); Pharrel Payne, Texas A&M ($5.6K); Flory Bidunga, Kansas ($5.4K); Chisom Okpara, Stanford ($4.6K)
