BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 7% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: The Jets can't improve their draft position that much (they can still get the no. 3 pick, currently sitting at 4th) so it's not that they'll be playing for the L come Sunday's affair with the Bills. The Jets dropped a close one to Tampa last weekend, and a great deal of that near-successful upset was the fantastic outing by WR Braxton Berrios, who hasn't stopped improving in the past four weeks of play.
Berrios was pretty much an afterthought after the first two weeks of the season. He never logged more than 3 targets in the W3-to-W13 span, only once topping 26 receiving yards. Then, starting in W14, Berrios was good for 11.2, 10.6, 15.0, and finally 25.7 PPR points this past weekend while getting numbers in both the rushing and receiving departments. Berrios has scored three touchdowns in the past three weeks (two rushing, one receiving), has seen his snap rate hit the 80s in the percentage of snaps played, and has been a top-30 wideout in three games straight.
While the Jets offense is a hard one to trust on a weekly basis, the truth is that Berrios has excelled of late. Even though his W15 outcome (10.6 FP) was a little bit of an outlier (1 reception, 2 carries, 36 yards from scrimmage, 1 TD), the playing time and touches are there and Berrios is coming off a 12-target, 8-reception, 65-yard, one-touchdown game that has him as the WR5-overall of the week pending MNF. Good floor and high ceiling for someone that is widely available and surely not the riskiest of players for those hurting for WR3/Flex help.
