Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Chad Kuhl (elbow) underwent Tommy John surgery. That means Kuhl will miss the entire 2019 season. It's a tough break for the 26-year-old. He was 5-5 on the year with a 4.55 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and career-high 8.6 K/9 over 16 starts. Kuhl was shut down in June.
