Adam Thielen's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 12 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Adam Thielen for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR2
ANALYSIS: Carolina Panthers wide receiver Adam Thielen had low expectations entering the year. Many believed the veteran wide receiver had nothing left in the tank. Yet, the former undrafted free agent has been outstanding for fantasy players as Bryce Young’s go-to weapon in the passing game.
Thielen is the WR11 for the season, averaging 13.7 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. He has 76 receptions on 97 targets for 726 receiving yards and four touchdowns. The veteran has seen at least 10 targets in all but two games since Week 2.
Meanwhile, Thielen has a higher fantasy points per game average than several superstar wide receivers, including Davante Adams and Jaylen Waddle. The former Minnesota Vikings star has been consistent for fantasy players, scoring 11 or more fantasy points in 70% of the games this year, including last week.
More importantly, he has an excellent fantasy football matchup on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. Over the past few seasons, the Titans have consistently struggled to slow down opposing passing attacks. They've given up 31.8 fantasy points per game to wide receivers in 2023, the sixth-most in the NFL.
