Colorado Avalanche defenseman Cale Makar scored his 10th goal of the year against Montreal on Thursday, setting a franchise record for the fewest games needed by a blue-liner to hit 10 goals for a season. The record was previously held by Rob Blake and Sandis Ozolinsh, who both reached the plateau in 33 games, but Makar managed to do it in just 18 outings. It's been a wonderful campaign for the 23-year-old, who's failed to score just twice in his past eight appearances. Makar leads all defensemen in goals and sits fifth in scoring with 21 points.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
