Derek Wolfe Won't Make It Back In 2021
Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said that defensive end Derek Wolfe (back, hip) will not return to play in 2021. The Ravens opened Wolfe's 21-day practice window to return from Injured Reserve late last month, but apparently the 31-year-old pass-rusher just hasn't made any progress and won't play at all in his second season with Baltimore. Wolfe was placed on IR before the team's Week 3 game. He becomes the sixth starter for the Ravens to suffer a season-ending injury in 2021, joining cornerback Marcus Peters, offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley, running backs J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards and safety DeShon Elliott. Justin Madubuike has stepped into a starting role with Wolfe out and has 16 tackles and one sack on the season.
