New York Jets defensive back Marcus Maye has an Achilles injury, and "it doesn't look good," said head coach Robert Saleh. He suffered a non-contact injury in the third quarter of Thursday's loss to the Indianapolis Colts. It would be a "huge" blow if Maye's injury is as bad as it looks, said Saleh. "I'm sick for him, it's not looking good." The 28-year-old will undergo further evaluation, but Maye could miss the rest of the season if he suffered a torn Achilles, which is feared. He racked up 46 tackles and one sack over six games in 2021. Sharrod Neasman should see an expanded role while Maye is sidelined.
