Chase Elliott had an interesting Saturday night on the 3/4 mile track at Richmond. In the end, he finished fourth which was a solid result. However, a few car issues, a bad pit stop, and some misjudging of drafting put Elliott behind the pace in the final 51 laps. The Hendricks Motorsports Racing driver did lead 58 laps earlier in the race. He just did not have the fastest car at the end. That was all Martin Truex Jr and the Joe Gibbs cars. Elliott was great during Stage 1 and finished second. Problems and mistakes caused him to drop to 13th after Stage 2. The final restart saw him start to catch up but had to settle for fourth. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
