The Tennessee Titans informed Drew Rosenhaus, the agent for linebacker Rashaan Evans, that they will not be exercising his fifth-year option for the 2022 season "due to ongoing salary cap uncertainty and instead hope to sign Rashaan to a contract extension before his current deal expires in 2022." Adding another season to his contract would have cost the Titans $9.735 million in 2022. He signed a four-year, $11.577 million contract after he was taken 22nd overall in the first round of the 2018 NFL draft. Evans started every game in 2020 and recorded 96 tackles, half a sack, one tackle for loss, four QB hits, five passes defensed and a fumble recovery. He has started every game the last two seasons, including four playoff games, and had 111 tackles in 2019.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
